(07.20.2009) - Gillette, Wyo., scored three first inning runs and never trailed,
defeating the Rapid City Post 22 Expos 8-4 Sunday evening at Fitzgerald Stadium.
The Expos scored two in the second to trim the margin, but Gillette
responded immediately with two in the third, adding single runs in the fourth
and fifth.
Michael Kelly had two doubles and two RBIs, and John Jarding
also had two hits. Justin Mette added a solo home run for the Expos.
The Expos finished the Pev Evans Tournament with a 2-2 record,
ending the regular season 24-26.

Hopkins turns
away Expos
(07.19.2009) - Hopkins, Minn., broke open a one-run game with six runs in the
sixth inning, defeating the Rapid City Post 22 Expos 11-5 Saturday at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
Hopkins jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, with the Expos
plating two in the fourth to trim the margin. The Expos loaded the bases with
two outs in the fifth, but a long flyball was caught at the warning track,
preserving the Hopkins lead.
The visitors broke the game open in the sixth, and held off the
Expos for the win.
Justin Mette went 3-for-5, Austin Wickham had two hits and Newt
Johnson drove in two.
Ethan Jarding was the losing pitcher, tossing 5 1/3 innings for the
Expos.
The 24-25 Expos finish up play at the Evans Tournament tonight with
a 5 p.m. game against Gillette, Wyo.

Expos win again in last at

(07.18.2009) - Lee Shepherd and the Rapid City Post 22 Expos certainly have a
flare for dramatic.
For the second time this week, the Expos won in their last at bat, defeating
Prior Lake, Minn., 11-10 Thursday during the Pev Evans Tournament at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
Down 10-9 entering the seventh, the Expos rally started with John Jarding's
leadoff triple. Ethan Jarding singled his brother home, and came home an out
later on an RBI single by Aris Rodriguez.
Casey Chilstrom went 3-for-4 with four RBIs offensively, and threw 1 2/3
innings of relief to earn the victory.
Rodriguez had two hits, including a double, and both Jardings had two hits
for the Expos.
The Expos, who are back to .500 at 24-24, host Hopkins, Minn., at noon today
at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Expos rally to defeat
Sturgis
(07.16.2009) - Trailing 5-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Rapid City
Post 22 Expos put together a six-run rally, hanging on for a 7-6 victory over
Sturgis Thursday afternoon at Fitzgerald Stadium.
Each team was playing its first game at the Pev Evans Tournament.
The Expos capitalized on three Sturgis errors, and used three key
hits to overtake the visitors.
Michael Kelly's two-run single broke a 5-5 tie, putting the Expos
up for good.
Brandon Petersen recorded his second victory of the year,
scattering 10 hits in a complete game effort.
Aris Rodriguez had two hits for the Expos, who were outhit 10-5 in
the contest.
The 23-24 Expos play Prior Lake, Minn., at 2:30 p.m. Friday in day
three action at the Evans Tournament.

split pitchers' duels
(07.15.2009) - Only ten runs were scored in Wednesday afternoon's varsity
doubleheader, with the Rapid City Post 22 Expos and the Casper, Wyo., Oilers
each taking one game at Fitzgerald Stadium.
The Expos rallied for a 3-2 win in game one, while the Oilers took
the finale 4-1.
In the opener, Asau Rodriguez tossed a five hitter, striking out
seven while permitting only one earned run.
But the Expos trailed 2-0 entering the sixth inning, before plating
two on singles by Casey Chilstrom and Brandon Petersen.
In the seventh, an error, a single, and a bunt put the Expos in
position, with Rodriguez scoring on a passed ball to win the game.
Justin Mette had two hits to lead the Expos.
The Expos received another solid pitching performance in game two,
as Ethan Culey allowed two earned runs in a complete game eight-hitter.
However, the Expos amassed only four hits, falling 4-1.
Asau Rodriguez had two hits for the Expos, with Newt Johnson
driving in their lone run.
The Expos (22-24) play Sturgis at noon tomorrow in day two action
at the Pev Evans Tournament at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Spearfish
(07.15.2009) - Despite some excellent pitching, the best the Rapid City Post 22
Expos could muster was a split Tuesday night in Spearfish.
The hosts took game one, 8-4, with the Expos claiming the finale
4-1.
Newt Johnson and Austin Wickham combined on a six-hitter in game
one, and did not allow an earned run. But four costly Expo errors led to eight
Spearfish runs, six coming in the fourth.
Michael Kelly went 4-for-4 to lead the Expos, who also got home
runs from Justin Mette and Ethan Culey.
Ethan Jarding was spectacular in game two, striking out 12
Spearfish batters in a complete game victory.
The southpaw scattered six hits, walked two, and allowed only a
single second inning run.
The Expos did all their scoring in the first. Asau Rodriguez and
Brandon Petersen both had two hits, and John Jarding doubled in the win.
Now 21-23, the Expos will host Casper, Wyo., today at noon for a
twinbill at Fitzgerald Stadium.

(07.13.2009) - The Rapid City Post 22 Expos earned a split on the last day of
the Marshall Tubbs Tournament, defeating Pierre 18-5 in five innings before
dropping a 16-12 affair to Wheatland, Wyo. Sunday at Fitzgerald Stadium.
Ethan Culey tossed all five innings against Pierre, allowing five
hits with five strikeouts.
John Jarding, Casey Chilstrom and Newt Johnson all singled and
doubled for the Expos.
In game two, Wheatland scored 13 in the first and held off an Expos
rally to win.
Justin Mette had three hits, and Aris Rodriguez and John Jarding
each singled twice for the Expos.
The 19-23 Expos play at Spearfish Tuesday in a 5 p.m. doubleheader
at Black Hills Power Stadium.

(07.12.2009) - Asau Rodriguez went the distance on a seven-hitter, as the Rapid
City Post 22 Expos defeated Alliance, Neb., 5-3 Saturday night at the Marshall
Tubbs Tournament at Fitzgerald Stadium.
Rodriguez allowed seven hits and three runs, striking out five
while walking two in the win.
Seven different Expos had a hit, with Ethan Jarding's two RBIs
leading their attack.
The Expos (19-21) will play Pierre at noon and Wheatland, Wyo., at
2:30 p.m. today during the final day of the Tubbs Tournament.

Expos fall to Omaha in nine innings
(07.10.2009) - Eight
innings of scoreless baseball was followed by a wild ninth inning, as the
Creighton (Neb.) Prep Bones defeated the Rapid City Post 22 Expos 8-4 in nine
innings Friday night.
Each team was playing its first game during the Marshall Tubbs
Tournament at Floyd Fitzgerald Stadium.
The Expos left the bases loaded in the first, and 13 runners in
all, spoiling a terrific effort from pitcher Ethan Jarding.
The southpaw limited the Bones to three hits and two walks in eight
innings, recording eight strikeouts without allowing a run.
Michael Kelly and John Jarding each had three hits, with John
Jarding and Casey Chilstrom each driving in two during the Expos' ninth inning
comeback attempt.
The Expos, who are now 18-21, will face Alliance, Neb., tonight at
7:30 to cap off day two of the Tubbs Tournament.

Expos win twice in Alliance
(07.08.2009) - A few days of rest can go a long ways for a baseball team.
The Rapid City Post 22 Expos were reminded of that Tuesday night.
Following a week without games, the Expos bounced back to win twice in Alliance,
Neb., 14-0 and 7-5, at Bower Shankland Field.
The Expos faced the Alliance junior varsity in the opener, and cruised to a
14-0, five-inning victory.
Newt Johnson tossed a two-hitter in the win.
Game two featured the Expos and Alliance's varsity, and was a
back-and-forth contest.
The Expos jumped out to a 3-0 lead, only to see the hosts take a
4-3 lead after six innings. Post 22's second varsity team responded with a
four-run seventh, taking a 7-5 win.
Brandon Petersen threw five solid innings, but did not factor in
the decision. Asau Rodriguez earned the win with two shutout innings of relief.
The 18-20 Expos host the Marshall Tubbs Tournament this weekend at
Fitzgerald Stadium.
Expos win finale at Hdlaky Tournament
(06.29.2009) - The Rapid City Post 22 Expos outhit
Sheridan, Wyo., 13-6, defeating the Troopers by a 12-5 score Sunday afternoon.
The win gives the Expos fifth place at the Hdlaky Tournament in
Gillette's Roughrider Stadium.
Casey Chilstrom and Jake Bohne led the 13-hit attack, as each
tallied three. Chilstrom had three singles and an RBI, while Bohne doubled once,
had one RBI and scored three times. Mike Reagan tripled and singled, and Brad
Horan had two hits and three RBIs.
Kyle Gorsuch was the winning pitcher. He went four innings,
striking out four while allowing four runs - one earned. Ethan Culey threw the
final three frames, allowing one unearned run.
Riding a two-game win streak, the Expos visit Spearfish for a 5
p.m. doubleheader Tuesday at Black Hills Power Stadium.
Expos split two at Gillette's Hdlaky
Tournament
(06.28.2009) - Two Rapid City Post 22 Expos pitchers
limited opponents to a combined two earned runs, but the Expos could only split
two games Saturday afternoon during the Hdlaky Tournament.
The Expos fell to Mountain Vista, Colo., 8-4, then defeated Fossil
Ridge, Colo., 5-3, Saturday at Gillette's Roughrider Stadium.
In the opener, Taylor Muhlbeier's two-run homer in the first put
the Expos ahead, but a disastrous second inning put Mountain Vista ahead for
good.
Brad Horan allowed only four hits in six innings, but he walked
six. He allowed eight runs, only two earned, in the loss.
Muhlbeier had two hits, including the home run, and Jon Hass hit a
sacrifice fly.
Ethan Jarding threw a gem in game two, tossing a two-hitter as the
Expos won 5-3 over Fossil Ridge.
Jarding struck out 12, walked three, and did not allow an earned
run.
Ethan Culey hit a two-run double, with Justin Mette and Kyle
Gorsuch also collecting RBIs.
The Expos had seven hits by seven different players in the win.
Currently 15-18, the Expos will play a placement game this morning
at the Hdlaky Tournament in Gillette.
Greeley handles Expos in Gillette
(06.26.2009) - Greeley, Colo., pitcher Alex Seier tossed a complete game
one-hitter, as Greeley handed the Rapid City Post 22 Expos a 10-0, five-inning
defeat Thursday afternoon.
It was the opening game of the Hdlaky Tournament at Roughrider
Stadium in Gillette, Wyo.
John Jarding's fourth inning single provided the only offense for
the Expos, as Seier struck out six.
Asau Rodriguez took the loss on the mound, with his brother Aris
throwing two innings of one-hit shutout relief.
The Expos (14-16) face host Gillette today at 5 p.m. in day two of
the tournament.

Expos late rally falls short against Pierre
(06.23.2009) - The Rapid City Post 22 Expos scored two runs in the seventh, and
loaded the bases with one out, but could do no more.
Pierre held on to defeat the Expos 8-4 Tuesday night at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
The visitors from the Capitol City outhit the Expos 14-7, scoring
in five of the seven innings they hit.
The Expos scored two in the fifth and two in the seventh before
their rally fell short.
Tanner Bisgaard doubled and had two hits for Post 22's second
varsity team. Bradon Petersen also had two hits.
Ethan Culey was the losing pitcher, throwing 5 1/3, with John
Jarding finishing the contest for the Expos.
Now 14-15, the Expos play in the Hdlaky Tournament, which starts
Thursday in Gillette, Wyo.

- Huron and the Rapid City Post 22 Expos split two games Sunday at the Doug
Koester Memorial Tournament at Pierre's Hyde Stadium.
The Expos won game one, 13-3 in five innings, but Huron took game
two, 5-4, and won third place at the event.
In game one, the Expos posted a 12-run third inning en route to the
five-inning victory.
Huron held a 3-0 lead until the Expos exploded in the fourth frame.
Casey Chilstrom was 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Expos. Ethan
Culey and Asau Rodriguez each added two hits, with Rodriguez driving in four..
Kyle Gorsuch struck out five in four innings of work, allowing five
hits and three runs en route to a win.
Huron scored all five of its runs in the nightcap during a
nightmarish third inning for the Expos.
Post 22 rallied with three in the fifth, and had the go-ahead run
on base in the seventh only to leave him on.
John Jarding and Michael Kelly had two hits apiece for the Expos.
Casey Chilstrom threw 2 1/3 innings, allowing four hits and five
walks in a loss. Aris Rodriguez was solid in 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief.

games, but came up short twice at the Doug
Koester Memorial Tournament in Pierre.
The Expos fell to Sioux Falls West, 8-7, then dropped a 4-1
decision to Pierre Saturday at Hyde Stadium
in Pierre.
Against West, the Expos built up a 7-1 lead after five innings of
play, only to see Sioux Falls rally for five
in the sixth and two in the seventh and
steal the win.
Justin Mette went 3-for-4, Kyle Gorsuch singled and doubled, and
John Jarding also had two hits for the
Expos.
Asau Rodriguez started and threw 5 1/3 innings, with Newt Johnson
suffering the loss in relief.
In the nightcap, the Expos outhit Pierre 11-9, but left 11 men on
base in a 4-1 loss.
Casey Chilstrom was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Gorsuch, Alex

Casper, Wyo., swept the Rapid City Post 22
Expos Wednesday night, winning the midweek
series three games to one.
Casper picked up 5-1 and 6-3 victories at Mike Lansing Field.
The Expos were their own worst enemy in the opener, committing
three errors that led to three Casper runs.
The hosts scored three in the fifth to break open a 2-1 game and
went on to earn the victory.
Justin Mette had two hits, including his third triple of the year,
to lead the Expos.
Kyle Gorsuch started the game but left in the third due to an
injury. Aris Rodriguez logged the final 3
1/3 innings and was the losing pitcher.
Casper took game two was well despite committing five defensive
errors.
Ethan Jarding had three of the Expos six hits, one a double, and
Asau Rodriguez doubled and tripled.
Ethan Culey went the distance, scattering eight hits in a losing
effort.

four-game midweek series Tuesday night.
The Expos took the opener 9-4, then dropped game two 11-9 at Mike

In game one, the Rodriguez brothers - Asau and Aris - combined to
limit Casper to eight hits and four runs in
the win.
Asau was the winner, scattering six hits in five innings while
striking out four. Aris threw the final two
innings to preserve the victory.
The Expos hit three triples and two doubles en route to the win,
out-hitting Casper 13-8.
Justin Mette went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBIs, and John
Jarding, Ethan Jarding, Michael Kelly and
Kyle Gorsuch all added two hits.
Casper built up a 7-2 lead after four innings in the nightcap,
before the Expos rallied with seven in the

in the fifth inning, breaking a 1-1 tie en

Sunday afternoon in Williston, N.D.
The game was for the consolation championship of the
Economart/Delaney Recycling Invitational at
Williston's Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
The Dodgers scored in the first, with the Expos tying it in the
second. Aris Rodriguez hit a flyball to
right that was misplayed, allowing John
Jarding to score the only Post 22 run.
Ethan Culey went 4 2/3 innings in a losing effort, with Newt
Johnson finishing out the contest on the
mound.
Now 12-8, the Expos play a four-game set in Casper, Wyo., Tuesday
and Wednesday.

leading the Rapid City Post 22 Expos to a

Saturday's game was a consolation semifinal in the
Economart/Delaney Recycling Invitational at
Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
Gorsuch blanked the Wolfpack, striking out nine while allowing only
two hits en route to the win.
Michael Kelly led the Expo offensive attack with three hits.
The 12-7 Expos face a rematch with the Regina, Sask., Dodgers
Sunday at 11 a.m. for the consolation
championship in Williston.

Canada for sweep at Williston Tournament

Two Regina, Sask., Canadian teams handled
the Rapid City Post 22 Expos Friday.
The Regina Dodgers defeated the Expos 12-5, followed by the Regina
Mets claiming an 18-8, five-inning win over
the Expos at the Economart/Delaney Recycling
Invitational at Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
A nine-run third inning for the Dodgers spelled doom in the Expos'
first game of the day.
Ethan Jarding lasted three innings and suffered the loss, with
Brandon Petersen finishing out the contest
out of the bullpen.
The Expos were also hurt by seven defensive errors that added to
the big Dodger inning.
Ethan Culey went 2-for-4 with a double, Michael Kelly went 2-for-4
and Alex Ferdinand was 2-for-3 with a pair
of RBIs.
In game two, the Mets used some mighty bats in the 18-8 victory. An
11-run fourth inning keyed the Mets, who hit
a total of four homers, five doubles and a
triple in the contest.
Every Expo had at least one hit, with five of the starting nine
chiming in with two hits.
Culey hit two doubles and drove in two, Kelly also had two doubles,
Gorsuch hit a solo homer and a single, and
Justin Mette and Ferdinand also had a pair
of singles.
Casey Chilstrom was the losing pitcher, throwing the first three
frames.
At 11-7 overall, but 0-3 in pool play, the Expos are the fourth
seed out of their pool. They will play the
third seed from the opposite pool today at 3
p.m. in Williston.
That game amounts to a consolation semifinal. Should the Expos win,
they'll play for fifth on Sunday, otherwise
they'll vie for seventh.

Williston, N.D., plated nine runs in the
first two innings, defeating the Rapid City
Post 22 Expos 12-4 in five innings Thursday
in Williston.
It was the first of five games for the Expos at the
Economart/Delaney Recycling Invitational at
Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
Williston jumped ahead 9-1 after two frames, and won in five
innings thanks to the tournament's eight-run
rule.
Michael Kelly hit a solo home run over the right field fence for
the Expos. Brandon Petersen was 2-for-3 with
an RBI, and Alex Ferdinand also had two
singles.
The 11-5 Expos will continue pool play Friday, playing a pair of
teams from Regina, Sask., Canada. They'll
take on the Regina Dodgers at 9 a.m.,
followed by a 1 p.m. meeting with the Regina
Mets.

wreak havoc on the Rapid City Post 22
schedules.
This weekend's much anticipated home series featuring Post 22's two
varsity teams and Denver (Colo.) Playball
Sports has been canceled due to rain.
Post 22 has now had six of its first 19 games lost to rain, while
the Expos have now lost three of their first
scheduled 18.
Post 22 is 10-3 and makes its yearly trip to Omaha this week to
take part in the College World Series
Tournament.
They'll play at Mitchell, S.D., Wednesday night, at Omaha
(Westside) for a doubleheader Thursday
before opening up play in this year's CWS
Tournament.
The Expos, 11-4, head north this week, competing in the
Economart/Delaney Recycling Invitational in

(06.05.2009) - Rainy weather was the
only thing that could stop the Rapid City
Expos Friday night.
The Expos defeated Alliance, Neb., 6-1, in the opening game of a
scheduled doubleheader at Floyd Fitzgerald
Stadium.
The game was stopped with two outs in the top of the sixth inning
due to the rain, and game two was canceled.
Ethan Jarding was the winning pitcher for the Expos. In five
innings of work, the southpaw scattered five
hits while striking out six.
Post 22 pounded out eight hits. Kyle Gorsuch and Mike Reagan each
tripled and had two hits, while John Jarding
was 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Now 11-4, the Expos will host Denver (Colo.) Playball Sports in the
front end of doubleheaders tonight and
Sunday night at 5 p.m. at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
Post 22 and Playball will play the nightcap each evening at 7:30

Gillette scores late to beat Expos
(06.02.2009) - Gillette, Wyo., drew a bases
loaded hit by pitch in the top of the
seventh, and stymied an Expos rally in the
bottom of the inning, to claim a 4-3 victory
Tuesday night at Fitzgerald Stadium.
The Roughriders scored a run in the first and two more in the
second to take a 3-0 lead.
The Expos tied the game with three in the fourth. Alex Ferdinand's
groundout scored one run, and Ethan Jarding
hit a two run single to left center to tie
the game.
After Gillette scored in the top of the seventh, Mette notched a
one out single in the bottom of the frame.
But a pair of strikeouts stranded the tying
run at second.
The 10-4 Expos host Alliance, Neb., in a doubleheader Friday at 5
p.m. at Fitzgerald Stadium.

Expos win two more in Scottsbluff
(05.31.2009) - The Rapid City Expos finished
3-1 in the NTC Tournament after a pair of
wins Sunday afternoon in Scottsbluff, Neb.
The Expos beat D'Evelyn, Colo., 9-1, then rallied to defeat
Alliance, Neb., 16-13.
Kyle Gorsuch threw a three-hitter against D'Evelyn, as the Expos
won in six innings via the tournament's
eight-run rule. He struck out four while
walking only one.
Gorusch also did a yeoman's job at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a
double, a triple, and two RBIs.
Justin Mette singled, doubled, and drove in two, and Brandon
Petersen went 2-for-2 with a double and two
walks.
Against Alliance, the Expos faced a 11-8 deficit before plating
eight in the bottom of the fifth.
Alex Ferdinand had a 4-for-4 day with two RBIs. Austin Wickham went
3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, Asau
Rodriguez had three hits, Mette had two hits
and four RBIs, and Mike Kelly also had two
hits.
The Expos (10-3) return home for five games this weekend. They'll
host Gillette, Wyo., Tuesday, Alliance in a
doubleheader Friday, and single games with
Denver Playball Sports Saturday and Sunday.

split on opening day in Scottsbluff
(05.30.2009) - The Rapid City Expos
earned a split in the opening day of the NTC
Tournament in Scottsbluff, Neb.
Torrington, Wyo., handed the Expos a 12-1, six-inning defeat,
before Post 22's second varsity squad
rebounded for a 6-2 victory over host
Scottsbluff at Cleveland Field.
The Expos had a number of chances in the opening game, but the lack
of a big hit, combined with a couple of key
errors, opened the door for Torrington.
Asau Rodriguez was the losing pitcher, with his brother Aris
finishing up the contest in relief.
Alex Ferdinand singled and doubled, and Michael Kelly had two hits
in the loss. John Jarding singled home the
lone Expo run.
The story of the nightcap was the pitching of Ethan Jarding. He
struck out eight in five innings, while
allowing only one hit. In fact, he carried a
no-hitter into the fifth, and was the
pitcher of record.
Newt Johnson recorded the save, throwing the final two frames.
The Expos plated three in the first and three in the third, but did
not record an RBI. Errors, walks and wild
pitches did most of the work.
Kyle Gorsuch, Brandon Petersen, Justin Mette, John Jarding and
Kelly all had singles in the win.
The 8-3 Expos finish up play in the tournament with two games
today. They'll take on DeEvelyn of Denver,
Colo., at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 2 p.m.
matchup with Alliance, Neb.

Expos bats come alive in sweep
(05.25.2009) – Twenty seven runs and 27 hits
- not bad for 12 innings of work.
The Post 22 Expos exploded offensively in a sweep of Scottsbluff,
Neb., winning 14-1 and 13-6 at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
Every Expo had at least one hit in game one, and Kyle Gorsuch and
Ethan Culey combined to three-hit the
visitors in a five-inning win.
Casey Chilstrom went 3-for-3, while Mike Reagan had two hits and
four RBIs, including his third triple of the
young season.
Gorsuch limited Scottsbluff to three hits with six strikeouts in
four innings, and Culey hurled a perfect
fifth to secure the win.
Scottsbluff jumped ahead early in the second game, taking a 6-3
lead into the bottom of the sixth.
The Expos preceded to rally for 10 runs in the sixth, going on to a
13-6 win.
John Jarding and Alex Ferdinand each doubled twice, Justin Mette
and Culey tripled, and Chilstrom also had a
double for the winners.
Aris Rodriguez one-hit the visitors for three frames, striking out
five, en route to a win. Newt Johnson threw
the seventh to wrap things up.
The Expos are 6-2 and host Sturgis Wednesday at 5 p.m. at
Fitzgerald Stadium.

Expos pitch way to sweep of Gillette
(05.23.2009) - Four Expos pitchers
combined to limit Gillette, Wyo., to only
nine hits and three runs, as Post 22's
second varsity team swept the Rustlers
Saturday under the lights at Floyd
Fitzgerald Stadium.
The Expos took the opener 5-2, then won game two 3-1.
Gillette got the jump in game one, scoring two in the top of the
second. The Expos rallied for three in the
third and added two more in the fifth for
the victory.
Asau Rodriguez struck out six in five innings of work, improving to
2-0. Ethan Jarding faced seven batters in
his two frames of relief and recorded five
strikeouts for a save.
Michael Kelly and Justin Mette each had two hits. Mike Reagan and
Casey Chilstrom both collected a pair of
RBIs.
Chilstrom and Brandon Petersen combined on a three-hitter in the
nightcap, which the Expos claimed 3-1.
Chilstrom went the first four innings, walking one and striking out
seven. He earned the win, while Petersen
recorded the save. He did so by facing the
bare minimum of nine batters, three of which
he struck out.
Reagan added two more hits in the second game, and Ethan Culey had
an RBI double.
The Expos are 4-2 and host Scottsbluff, Neb., Monday at noon at
Fitzgerald Stadium.

Expos drop 9-4 decision to Cheyenne
(05.18.2009) - The Cheyenne Hawks used a
four-run first inning to pace themselves to
a 9-4 victory in game three of the weekend
series with the Post 22 Expos at Fitzgerald
Stadium.
The Expos managed four runs in the fifth. Mike Reagan tripled in
two runs, with Brandon Petersen and Alex
Ferdinand adding two hits each.
Casey Chilstrom was the losing pitcher, logging the first three
innings for the hosts.
The Expos are 2-2 on the young year. They host Gillette, Wyo.,
Saturday night at Fitzgerald Stadium.

had a hit, as the Post 22 Expos claimed a
12-2, six-inning win over Spearfish Saturday
night at Fitzgerald Stadium.
Asau Rodriguez struck out six in his four innings of work, keeping
the visitors off the scoreboard to earn the
win.
Mike Reagan's three-run triple blew the game open in the fifth.
The Expos host Cheyenne, Wyo., in a three game series next Saturday
and Sunday at Fitzgerald Stadium.
