 For the past 18 years, Dr. Carl Stonecipher has played an intricate role in the success of the Rapid City Post 22 baseball program.

   Stonecipher is in charge of the pitchers in the program, a position he's held since he was hired in the summer of 1991.

   He spent 11 seasons coaching Little League and Pony League baseball in Rapid City before joining Post 22.

   On top of his coaching duties, Stonecipher practices dentistry in Rapid City. He is also an avid hunter and community leader, who formerly served on the Rapid City Area School Board.

   Stonecipher and his wfie, Marge, have three children - Gretchen, Eric and Curtis. Both of their sons played for Post 22. Curtis went on to play at the University of Texas at Arlington, while Eric pitched at the University of Kansas. Eric went on to pitch three seasons in the San Francisco Giants organization.
