 Marty Andrews played in the Rapid City Post 22  program from 1983-86 . Marty  received many honors playing for Post 22 baseball .  He received the Marshall A. Tubbs sportsmanship award, the Rapid City Journal all-state team, and the  South Dakota American Legion 1986 player of the year award.  He played on three South Dakota state championship teams.  His 1984 team finished 3rd in the American Legion World Series played in  New Orleans.  Marty  was inducted into the rapid city post 22 hall of fame.  

After graduating from Stevens High School, Marty signed a letter of intent to play baseball with Iowa State University.  Due to a serious knee injury playing amateur baseball, he had major ACL reconstruction surgery with additional complications.  He was then offered a scholarship at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma..  He finish his education at Black Hills State University.  

 Marty is married to his childhood sweetheart Annie Schmidt.  Marty is currently an account executive with Knology in Rapid City.  His coaching background includes little league, pony league, and high school club baseball.
