The 1977 Varsity team won 62 games, the first South Dakota Legion team to ever win more than 50, and advanced to the American Legion World Series - another first in the state. It was inducted into the Post 22 Hall of Fame in 2008.

The 1965 Varsity squad became the first team ever inducted into the Post 22 Hall of Fame in 2007. The 1965 team was the first under rookie head coach Dave Ploof, and the fourth to win state in program history.
